Teaching youths how to think, not just what to think
Plastics Treaty
SYCA’s Plastics Treaty working group was formed in 2024 to campaign for a strong Plastics Treaty and support its objectives in addressing pollution throughout the whole lifecycle of plastics. Our work involves tracking ongoing international negotiations, ensuring corporate accountability, understanding latest scientific standards for plastics policies as well as fostering ground-up solutions to build the zero waste economy.
Heat Vulnerability
SYCA’s Heat Vulnerability Outreach Programme was launched in 2025, focused on under-resourced communities, understanding their experiences with heat and exploring possible solutions.
School Outreach
SYCA’s School Outreach workgroup reaches out to youths in mainstream schools and the community. We aim to raise awareness and educate them about different climate issues and their implications, and inspire them to lead climate action movements on a school or community-wide scale to tackle this global phenomenon.
